what my parents didn't tell me...

So, I am pretty bummed.. I have been having a hard time dealing with these bits of information that my parents didn't tell me.. Like, WHY didn't they tell me that it's not fun to play with my kids? I don't really have any fun at all. And I really think that would have been important information to bestow upon your oldest child while having children or even to prevent said situation from happening. Also, would've been great to know that its nice to have your kids and all their friends at your house but it's really ANNOYING to have them all knocking at the door all the time. THE END of my rant.

How old are you Mom?

Well my age has been a topic of discussion around the house lately, especially since I was having a difficult time turning 30 a few weeks ago. So Johnathon often asks if I am OLD 30 years old yet. But nothing beats yesterday when we went to the Museum of Cape Fear and the E.A. Poe house (not the poet, a brick maker) I was reading a sign to the kids and there was a photo in black and white taken in 1909 on this billboard. After discussing with the kids how people dressed differently back then, Jayden (7) promptly states: That was close to when you were born right MOM?, when i told him it was a really old picture. I asked him if I looked like I was 121? LOL we all got a good laugh at that one too.

hoppers don't hop?

Johnathon and his little friend were watching Brian Fix his paintball equipment, and He was putting his painthopper back together. John's friend asks what Brian is working on, and He replies a hopper. John asks is it broken, and brian replies, yes. Then john calmly asks: It doesn't HOP anymore? Least to say the whole family was busting up. :)
