IKY or is it ICY? (Jayden)

Ok so since you have learned how to read Jay, it's been one laugh after another. We were driving into town and you were reading a road sign. (as has become a habit of yours) It spelled I-C-Y... I was listening to you talking to your little brother telling him how you couldn't go down there (below to the ground under the overpass we were on) because it was iky... at first i was really confused, then i asked you to spell it.. you said I-C-Y. I was like no hunny, it's ice-y. And i had a good laugh, but i was proud that you were trying so hard to figure things out on your own. However then, i had a second thought... umm 1. we live in the desert, so why in the middle of april do we have an icy sign up next to the roads... and i had my second laugh for the day.

Did you ever realize that odd things can resemble glue?

ok so i was doing the dishes in the dishwasher. While i was pouring the dish soap in the dispenser Jon pipes up with "Glue?" And I'm tell him, no hun it's Soap. Then he's like Soap? and i say, ya it's soap to wash the dishes. He walks away still looking a little confused. I am sure in his head he's thinking: that sure looks like glue.

So Just a question to you all: Did you ever realize that Liquid dishwasher soap looks like glue?

Kids are too cute.

Where's Trash??!!

So a few days ago, we were cleaning off the Table from dinner, and the boys had to throw their paper plates in the trash when they are done. Jon is currently the one to remember this task the best without prompting.
However, About a week before that we had to get a new fridge. The new icebox is bigger than the old one, so our trashcan no longer fits on the side of it, and it's now near the wall of the kitchen.
I really think this is the first sentence that wasn't "preprogrammed" in Jon that i have heard him say since he started talking about 8 mos ago.

He Goes to throw his plate away, and Hubby and i are discussing how many crumbs are falling on the floor as he's taking the plate to the trash. And he stops beside the Icebox, and says : "Where's Trash?" he looks around and he's like oh ya there it is. You can see his little face lite up at the fact that he found it. It was so funny and cute. I just wanted to go grab him and squeeze him tight.

"P" Turns - by jayden

Oh the things kids say..
we were drving down the road going to the eye dr. and all of a sudden Jayden pipes up with "Can't make any "P" turns there.
I was like What??!!
Then I looked over, and saw the no parking signs. LOL! OH it was sooo funny. I was still chuckling as I told Jayden that those were no parking signs.

See the first road sign he learned was No "U" turn.

Pretending.. Jon this one's about you.

Today Jon and i had to take Amy to the DR downtown. While we were waiting in the waiting room, Jon decided to play pretend. Here he is (3yrs) and saying all with sound effects :
shut the door-whoosh
get chicken-squish
open the door-swoosh
ok
open the door-whoosh
put chicken-plop
shut the door-swoosh
do dup do doe dum doop - "buttons on microwave" for all that don't know
ok
beep beep beep
"what's that!!"
THE CHICKEN!!
get it out.

and it started all over again.
about 3 times in a row.
I was laughing so hard and it was adorable.
I love you!

Missed the inbetween... for my boys

I have decided to start this blog for my boys so that you will have some insight to your mom as you'all get older. I also want to try to remember the small things that one tends to forget in the everydayness of life.
I have just realized that I have some unexplained motto of : hurry up and get through it. It doesn't seem to matter what "IT" is i just want to hurry up and get it done. I think i am still waiting for my life to start and it's been passing me by. So i hope not to miss any more inbetween moments.
Starting yesterday i have been making more of a consious effort to "hang" with my boys and to try to get to know your emerging personalities. I love you boys so much, but often most of my time is consumed by "trying to please your father" when in all honesty he would probably be happiest if i would just let him alone. So starting today that's what i am going to do. I am going to leave him to figure out how he "fits" in with us. I hope to make more fun times for us to just chill out to and to make memories and tradtions that i didn't have as a child growing up.
